6.3 x 4.7 basilar summit aneurysm

I am 48yr, 6'-1", 213lb Recently divorced. Male
I am new to this and am hoping that this venue will be a release for my tensions and hopefully be a learning experience. Actually I am not really very nervous. Just another trial...

Last September I had what may have been a TIA went for my physical and the DR sent me for some testing.
60% blockage left carotid artery, 20% right.
Aneurysm
arachnoid cyst left middle cranial fossa w/left temporal lobe atrophy

Sent me to neurologist more testing.

My latest MRI results 6.3 x 4.7mm basilar summit aneurysm with ectasia ????
not understanding ramifications of this.
I landed on my head twenty eight years ago flipping on a trampoline could this be the cause? I am dealing with the VA with this I have no insurance.

I want to know what the prognosis is. Are there treatment options available?

I have no diabetes or any other condition beside hypertension.

some symptoms I have been complaining about:
variable acuity in left eye, from 20/20 to barely able to see. starting in the right eye also last week. (I got the results of the MRI this week)
speech problems - stuttering, miss-used words, words in the wrong places, trouble remembering words. (this in patricular bothers me as I speak spanish, portuguese, and english and have a rather large vocabulary)
Saying things as I think them... oops I shouldn't have said that out loud lol
numbness in my extremities
numbness in my face
short term memory problems
trouble urinating
confusion while driving taking wrong turns etc. never had this before last year I have always been able to get to where I want to go with no problem.
also I have been lacking in motivation, I mentioned this to the Dr and he suggested I may be depressed. I don't think so though.

I know these sound like a mish mash of symptoms but that is what has been going on.

Well the arachnoid cyst. "TINY" is how they describe it. 2 cm x 8mm. Will this add complications? I was hit by a car twice as a child once approximately the age of 5 (standing on the curb and lost my balance) I do not remember anything except the moment prior to falling. Then again approximate age 7. Trying to cross the street when the truck driver who was blocking my view waved me across. (first lesson never trust somebody elses judgement, boy did I pay for that) All I remember is being put into the car to be taken to the hospital then nothing. (Cut my eye lid and had to wear an eye patch is all I can remember of my injuries)You would have thought I would learn from the first one lol. Nobody else in my family has one so I think it was from prior injury.

It is my understanding that basilar artery aneursyms can cause visual problems. I can't say much about your other symptoms. I have a couple aneursyms. I had a craniotomy to have one clipped on the PCA which branches off of the basilar artery. After the other aneursym was seen on an MRI they did an angiogram (inject dye into the brain through the femerol artery) and found the second one. My surgeon recommended that it be clipped off, but often cerebal aneursyms are treated by inserting coils into them to plug them up via the femoral artery on up. The good news about cerberal aneursyms is that there is only a 1 in 100 chance of rupture a year. The bad news is that there is a 50% mortality rate if they rupture. Watch your blood pressure and don't lift heavy objects. Make a list of questions to ask the doctor and take it with you. It is easy to get brain freeze when somebody is talking about if you need brain surgery. I thought the surgery would be worse than it was and the recovery quicker. I was back to work in a couple months. It took a year to feel completely back to normal. There is no family history for me or history of brain trauma. Best of luck to you.
