Mergansers drive me crazy
 

I'll glance out the window and see two or three ducks out on the river. I grab my binoculars, look back out the window, and no ducks. Gone. Disappeared into thin air (water, actually). Kind of disconcerting. Was I imagining I saw ducks? Oh. Must be mergansers. Gotta I love 'em!
