Hello and i hope i just posted the correct acronyms for mu procedure. :-)
I;m new to the site and from what I've read already, I like it already. I am scheduled for surgey on Monday 5,19,2008 in NY. I'm scarred out of my mind but the pain kind of makes the fear subside. AND THEN I read up on the procedure. and now I'm having second thoughts. My symptoms are migrains, pain in my neck, left shoulder, down my left arm, tingles in my fingers and now I'm being told that I am having nerve damage in my left hand. I'm 38 and occupationally I sit at a desk on computer and see clients all day. for the last 3 months this has been a miserable task. Since surgery has been scheduled I'm off my skelaxin and only taking percocet :-( I;M SCARRED OF PERCOCET. It makes me feel all tingly an dhot all over and then the big cloud appears (wonder why fiends like that feeling). My concern is the rocovery and need for repeated surgeries. Also they mentioned stress on my lumbar which i have refused to address because I can't phantom another operation.

Hi, Ednita!

And a warm welcome to you! It is very nice to meet you on our site! It sounds to me like you have a lot on your plate right now, and I can't say that I blame you for being worried. I've had many procedures including surgery, and though I tried to seem tough, inside I was a bit of a wimp. I truly hope that whatever procedures you end up going through, they are all beneficial, and will improve your quality of life. I also hope to hear more from you later, so we can know how you are doing. Good luck and my very best wishes to you! :)
