BMW, I have searched also. I can't find any virus with these intials. I went to the CDC (center for disease control) and couldn't find it listed there either.
I wonder if it is called something other than EMZ? (I have found some info on EMC virus)

well either I have the wrong initials for the illness or it is a new classification of some type. I was told it was much like aids where the immune system is affected. but my searching turned up notta. so I will keeping looking and the friends I have will be hunting for some info also,when it comes my way I will share any info with you all.

As family, you should be able to request a copy of her medical records. Where you are a cousin, you wouldnt be able to get the full record, but you should at least be able to find out the name of the virus.
