fatigue to not sleeping
 

yesterday i posted about my extreme exhaustion. Dr reccommended Provigil.
Havent gone to pharmacy yet.

cat napped yesterday afternoon. But havent slept since!!!!! My headache and bone pain has increased and find myself crying when trying to fall asleep.

So, will the provigil keep me awake????

It sounds like you are in a relapse, MM, based on the increased pain and the sleeping issues.

Before LDN, when I would have an attack the pain would come on strong and I would sleep the first week away, probably 20 out of 24 hrs. (I have had relapses since LDN too, but I never sleep like that any more). I think the longest I ever stayed awake was about an hr, during those periods.

When things escalated, as they always did for me, the pain would get worse. I'm not sure if it was the pain itself, or just the overstimulation my brain would be going through from all the sensations, but I would get insomnia sometimes for several weeks.

I am one to "go with the flow", at least with the sleepiness; if I am sleepy, I just sleep all the time. I don't think it's good to go without sleep though, so I would do whatever it took to at least get cat-naps when I had insomnia. Sometimes that meant taking Tylenol PM, smoking pot, hypnosis . . . and often I didn't sleep for longer then a few hrs at a time.

I know this is very disruptive, especially if you are working or have small kids, but this is when you need to put yourself first and ask for help if you need it.
