Have not left the apt. since Saturday afternoon.

Hi,

I have been in the apt since Sat afternoon.
Actually, I did go downstairs once to move my car to a different parking spot because the complex is painting marks on the asphalt.

I feel relaxed. I think I could stay in like this for a while.

Sounds like you are resting and taking care of yourself.
You have had a long semester...
I am happy for your self imposed break.:Good-Post:

Mari

I'm so glad you got the chance to relax and have a quiet few days.

Hopefully they can continue.

I went downstairs to go to the store and pick up meds.

Then I freaked out and came back up stairs and inside.

I didn't feel like dealing with the messed parking lot or the heat/humidity.

Mari

Just stay put then till you feel like going out.

I really wish that we here in Indiana, would get some of that heat.

I don't care so much for the humidity but I'd sure love some heat.

Its not gotten higher than 60 for the last 4 days.

I'm so tired of this weather.

I know what you mean Mari, it's been so HOT lately its like an oven out there practically. *Sigh* More to come I'm afraid. Oh well, nothing we can do about it but endure it. I definitely understand what you're feeling about it though Mari, and I wanted to post to tell you you're not alone. I have to go shopping right now before this huge rain storm hits. Sorry this is so short, but I have to fly! Take care! :D

saw my pdoc. I asked to taper down the Klonopin

Hello,

I saw my pdoc today.
I told him that I do not feel well -- brain fog, and so on -- and that I want to reduce Klonopin.

He said ok.
I was taking
.5 upon waking and 2.0 before going to bed.

He told me to reduce to
.5 upon waking and 1.5 before going to bed.

I stay at that for a month and then decrease again if I want. He pretty much left it up to me. He also went and wrote the scripts out for the old way so I will end up with some extra Klonopin.

He suggested that I "get off the carb train" because he thinks I could loose some weight. Then he talked a bit about what he eats and how he keeps his weight down (I bet his wife cooks great meals for him. And I bet he can afford to eat in very good restaurants.)

So tonight I start the reduced Klonopin. I'm looking forward to feeling more "with it."

Hi Mari.
a whole .5mg jump is a lot...could you cut that in half and taper down .25mg at a time? the slower the better...I under stand wanting to decrease the groggy feelings in the morning. Completely!

I agree with bizi, .5 is a lot to jump down, I would do half that for two weeks and then half again for two weeks to reach the same goal. I know Dr's say it's okay to dump that much off a dose, but still it's a lot.

Do you think you need to lose some weight Mari? It doesn't matter what he thinks, it's what you think, I get offended if people tell me what I already know, point in case, that I need to lose weight. :p Carbs are good for quick energy, but by watching how we eat and working out Jack has lost almost thirty pounds this month! I am so proud of him, and me? Last weight was a week ago and I had gained almost ten pounds, IF the dr's scale is right, I was told it weighs heavy, but who knows? I hate dieting, so this lifestyle change is the way for us to go, we still eat good and enjoy living much more. :D

Hang in there Mari, I think about you often and hope you're having a good day. School's almost over, and in eight more days my mother retires! :D Life can be sweet sometimes. :D I wish you were feeling better, hope the reduction in Klonipin helps with the fatigue and brain fog. I felt foggy when I took it but I was only taking 1 mg at bedtime. :p
