Hello All..I'm Exhausted

Hi to everyone here..I am new to the board, just found it after all this time.
Had TOS/RSD x 14 years. I have one of the best Drs. in PA. Seeing him in July....
I am in a horrible flair, been having epigastric/stomach area pain radiating to back, chest pain, arm pain. I have an upper and lower trunk injury but I don't ever remember having this much pain in the stomach area. I know if I go to a GP they will want to work me up for the whole GI thing, upper GI, scopes etc.:D
The pain is exhausting me:rolleyes:I no longer sleep much at night.
I have a 4 year old son and a teenager, 2 boys. I try to hide the pain, and I know this flair is coming from forgetting and lifting my son.
I made a visit to a so called expert at Rothman Institute and he told me I needed 6 separate surgeries! I don't think so...
I guess it's back to PT for more nerve glides while I wait for my July appointment. I'm so sick of this mess.
Thanks for listening
Andie:)

Hello Andie,

Nice to meet you. Please feel free to look thru the other posts and of course ask any questions that come to mind..

Our sticky threads near the top are full of all kinds of great info.

Have you ever been to a chiropractor or advanced PT { very good ones} for an evaluation to see if you might have any spinal subluxations/misalignments?

I'm wondring if the radiating chest pains might be due to whichever nerve supplies that area.

I found this chart-

OOO, Jo/ANDIE

GREAT illustration, Jo!

Andie,
You beat me.
I've only had TOS, CRPS (RSD, FIBRO, ETC) for 8 years.
It seems as though the CRPS is taking over my life.
You can sure feel the difference.
When I Have your symptoms which I do everything without OD'ing in meds I call paramedics, go to the ER for Morphine, Phenegran & Antivan IV.
Sometimes 2 drips of the 3
Then I'm good to go for a time.

Lesson learned: tell the ER ER admitting nurse you have a neurovascular compression & CRPS; NOT TOS. THEY HAVE NO CLUE even though the ER docs do.

I should have mentioned also -that spasms and trigger points can cause the nerves to act up too.
plus they can pull you out of alignment - so it can be a nasty circle and you have to treat all to get out of the cycle.

Welcome Andie!!
Glad you found us. I literally feel your pain... but am unfamiliar with the added stomach pain... Sounds awful and I really hope you find some relief soon AND that it doesn't take 6 surgeries to get there
hope to see you around the boards!
