Interactive map?

DocJohn and admin, have you seen those interactive maps where members of a site can place a pin for their location? I would love to see that done here.

I know that we are about to get upgraded, so there is certainly no hurry, but here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Thank you for your time and consideration etc., etc.;)

i think that is a great idea.

i was just pm'ing with another member in the dfw area. i try and remember who all is my area. don't always do a good job of that. :o

sure would be an awesome way to organize more get togethers.

these maps...

do have a "downside"... they sometimes screw up the loading of the pages.

A "certain other place" has this problem, still after 6mos. My pages don't load
there at all.

normally they are added as an add-on and not part of the software. i had one on my website for awhile. i used the bravenet one and no problems at all.

it would only load if you pulled it up.

i'm not really sure why a site would add it and have it automatilly load. it sounds like they may have other issues.

That's a great idea, Cindy! I'd never seen one before. It sure will make organizing GTGs a LOT easier! Wish we had one now!

A forum community I belong to uses a Phoogle map. . . pretty cool. You click on the pin and it tells who lives there!
