Wellbutrin SR 150 mg. & 100 mg. side effects

I am a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome patient and a chronic pain patient. I was on Celexa 20 mg. but had side effect of sweating. My pain medicine physician switched me to Wellbutrin SR 150 mg. and then 100 mg. I have lost my appetite completely and continue to lose weight. I also take Kadian for the nerve pain. Has anyone else had this side effect with Wellbutrin? I will call my physician tomorrow. Thanks for any input any of you may have!

Yes, weight loss is a very common side effect of Wellbutrin. In fact, a lot of people use it 'off label' as an adjunct for weight loss. Wellbutrin is known for its benefits for curbing certain cravings such as carbohydrates and nicotine. Wellbutrin AKA Zyban, is currently used for those who wish to quit smoking and is quite effective for some. A lot of insurance companies are starting to jump on board and pay for it for that use. It is definitely not just for depression anymore.
