HI I'm new and I have PD
I've never posted anything, anywhere so this is real new to me.
I'm 50 and have was diagnosed with parkinson's disease 5 years ago. I really only noticed a big challenge this year but I've been through a lot. When I was diagnosed, I just had learned that my husband needed a liver transplant which he got nearly 2 years ago after golng into a coma and nearly dieing. After the transplant we learned his old liver was cancerous so next came 8 moths of chemo. Just as he was getting back on his feet, I injured my neck/back and had to have surgery this past September and had a very hard time recovering. Through all of this medical mania I worked and kept up with my job as a school administrator only to be told in February that I was to be "downsized" (terminated...fired). So, now I'm at home and loving it and my boss calls/emails every day with questions about how to do my job because he is overwhelmed. Well that's my life except that I have 2 beautiful dogs, a wonderful husband that's learning about being a caregiver, and a daughter about to have our 1st grandchild. So while I may get angry or depressed about losing my job, my stabilit, and my voice--I really do have a good life. Linda Marie:p |
