2 separate questions...Double vision and voice change

Okay - two quick questions...

Has anyone else noticed that their voice changes when they're in an active flare? I would SWEAR my voice has changed. I noticed it during first episode, too. It did go back to normal - but it's irking me (especially since I pretty much talk for a living!).

Second - does double vision automatically mean ON? I'm sure it doesn't - but this just popped into my head. Double vision was one of my first symptoms...but by the time I went to ophtho, no ON. I have double vision now - but don't think I have ON - and not even sure if I care - b/c I have no time to go get it checked out right now anyhow.

Okay, just two seemingly random questions...

thanks,

~Keri

My voice changes too! My neuro said it is part of the flare. I get a high pitched voice and sometimes it is shaky, if that makes any sense. So I don't think you are going crazy for that one. My friend always knows when I am not feeling well just by the way my voice sounds. So it is noticable to others.

I don't have any sx with my eye sight. Sorry.

My friend gets very hoarse when in a flair.

My voice just shows that I am weak. Also a person is more breathless when they are just trying to do every day activities during a flare.

My voice gets high pitched, or sometimes i can't project my voice. Other times, I go to speak and gargles come out. Needless to say, I don't sing often. :p

I have double vision, plus I "see things" from a lesion on my occipital lobe. Sometimes flashes of light, or better yet, won't recognize familiar objects.

Sometimes my symptoms are kinda neat..hate to admit, but the things I see during a flair are kinda cool sometimes.

Thanks!

Oh man, the voice thing trips me out - though everyone says they barely hear a difference - to me, in my head, it is clearly a higher pitch, etc. I'm sure it sounds stronger to me.... My closest friends finally admit to hearing a difference. I'm ready for it to pass!

Actually, I can live with the whiny voice if the double vision left. Hmmm.
