Hi J, Billye and all,
I was scheduled for my bladder surgery last Wed......but came down with upper respiratory infection so it had to be postponed till tomorrow. It's seems like if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all! I've been having a lot of pain from the last bladder surgery and that kicks off my PN and it just goes round and round! I'll let you know how the surgery goes tomorrow.......
Also I received a letter from my school district.......they want to fire me because I've been on sick leave so long........even tho I've kept in contact with them and so has my dr.! Just what I needed!
Take care all...........

Oh dear:

Nothing much I can add except that I'm praying that your ordeal goes smoothly, and that those jerks can't fire you.

You fight them. We're all holding your hand, (cyber speaking).

Take care.

Melody

Roxie

Hi sorry to hear you are having such a hard time - seems like once our bodies immune systems get compromised - we are subject to more and more - on your job - I cant remember - are you using your FMLA leave? Now is the time to act quickly if you arent to protect it - before your employer can take any adverse action... also, if there is a short term disability policy - I'd file right away (or if your state has short term disability separate from employer) - you need time to give your body a chance to recover some and hoepfully you can get that....

Hang in there - and hoping surgery goes well....

Roxie2007 06-09-2008 10:41 AM

HI!
I don't know if our state has disability.......how do you find out? I don't have insurance for disability.......so this is something different?
I used up my FMLA leave last year and haven't accumulated enough hrs at work to use it again this year :(

I think the only place that has a problem with disability is Hawaii, and Alaska,
but you don't have to worry about that. Your young my frind got it first time she applied she is 52 and has a huband who works, but she made the most money..If your going to try for it do it as soon as you can..One going to be more applying. But you have worked for it,get all you paper work together
from the 1 or more Dr.s who is willing to do the paper work on how much
you been through ,and that's allot,After you feeel better check with Texaz
Department of Social Services family Support Division. (I Think) Look on the computer and I think Dan posted a stickie on it.

I think it's so important your surgery is done, and done right,we all think the word of you..You can as to see the Social Worker in the hospital they will help
you,but speak up there busy, but you can do it,good luck. Hugs to all Sue

Roxie..

Are you in the public school system? If you are, then you can contact the Texas State Teacher's Association for information about what you can do. http://www.tsta.org/index.shtml

I couldn't remember if you were.

Hope your surgery goes well. Thinking about you.

Gee Roxie, you are in kind of a

'tippy toe' sort of situation are'nt you?
I'd follow up on the advice others have given you, and maybe check out that lawyer you saw last year? It mite cost some $$ now, but possibly save you lots of other $$'s and aggravation in the long run.
It's amazing to me what all we have to endure to try and get well! It's HARD WORK!

Hugs and more :hug::hug:'s - j
