Healing and caring thoughts will suffice

I feel the need to post this because I think it only fair to let others know that I am non-religious. I follow Buddhism as a philosophy for life not as a religion. I do relaxation and meditation, and I have buckets of empathy. I don’t need to be religious to understand another human beings suffering. And, forgive me, but I would appreciate it if you didn’t include me in your prayers. Healing and caring thoughts will suffice. :)

Thank you. Rose

Hi Roseblue

the sanctuary here at NT is a spiritual forum not a religious one and so all are always welcome nomatter their belief or philosophy :)

This "Sanctuary" is a place for people of all spiritual beliefs and faiths to offer support and compassion to each other in the form of prayers, meditation, and expressions of spirituality. This forum is for support, not religious debate.

Greetings to you Roseblue,
I never have and do not go to any church. I do not have a religion but I find this place here a comfort .I hope you will also. I just think caring and helping are the basic blocks to build and live a good life.
Sending healing thoughts , postive caring wishes and peace to you.

*raising hand* Me too, Roseblue~

I believe everyone has the right to follow or believe whatever is in their heart. I keep wanting to call you Rosebud. My Mom's name was Rose *short for Rosalyn* and one of her best friend's always called her Rosebud, so if I slip up and call you that... Please don't think anything of it.

Same here

Healing, loving thoughts are a kind of prayer too. I have nothing against prayers for healing, but I do not like prayers for the salvation of my soul, my soul is my private domain. Spirituality needs not belong to any specific religion.
Thank you Roseblue.

Hi Roseblue

I don't belong to any religion either, and i don't follow any particular brand of faith. I don't see any difference between prayer and healing/caring thoughts. I understand what you mean, but it's such a habit for me to call it prayer. :o I'll try to remember, but I may I slip up and call it prayer. If I do, please know I am only sending you healing and caring thoughts.

Welcome to the Sanctuary. :)
