Help!!!

The stiffness in my shoulder has gone from bad to worse! I am experiencing some very horrible pain in it along with burning feeling in my shoulder blade. I've also been getting shooting pains up my neck, across the base of my neck and into my left shoulder.

Hi Iffynah,

Sorry to hear you are dealing with the pain so badly. I was wondering if you use lidocaine patches. If you could put one or two of them on you and lay on a heating pad that might help calm down some of the pain.

Weekends are always the worst because our Drs. aren't usually in and if we go to the ER we get no respect at all.

It sounds like the RSD is spreading or you have other things going on such as Fibro or TOS. Either way, I know exactly where you are at with this.

The main thing with the RSD is having a Dr. that is up on it and knows enough about it to at least try to treat it or send you out to someone who can.

You might try soaking in a tub of hot water. It helps sometimes.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi...

I am so sorry to hear that your shoulder is getting worse

Please call your doctor and see what he says - you really need help. Have you tried taking an Epsom Salt bath? They help some people with RSD.

I know the feeling of being in a lot of pain - I have been in a bad flare for a week now, so you're not alone!! I hope you get the relief you need soon.

You will be in my thoughts
Alison
