I do have MCS, just got from the Dr.

She (Dr) is doing blood work just to make sure I don't have a "true" allergy to anything. She gave me a name of a Dr that could help me more but he's 5 hours away and he's booked for the next 2 months.
I have mixed feelings about this, I'm happy that it's not something really bad but at the same time there's no "real" treatment for MCS or meds to make it better. I just have to stay away from everything that makes me ill, all fragrance and most chemicals even smoke and gases.
To tell you all how bad this is the last 2 nights have been awful, migraines, brain fog, nausea, chest hurting & dizziness. Well I found out what was making me sick this morning, my 11 year olds deodorant, it was all over my cable box (thanks to one of the little boys). So some deodorant about 15 feet away from me made me that ill all night long. :(

oh Julie .. .so sorry ... what is MCS?? can you wear unscented deodorant - or even that would make you sick??

I don't handle noise, smoke well .... thanks for posting this - hopefully you'll be able to find a closer specialist .. when you go, see if there is a 'ronald house' or something to stay in so you don't have that extra expense ...

will keep you in prayers ...

I'll ditto Vonn, what's MCS?

And at least you have the name and face of the enemy.

Keep in mind, were always here for you.

I think it may be multiple chemical sensitivity as I did a search on MCS and found this website. Correct me if I'm incorrect momx7. http://www.ourlittleplace.com/mcs.html

I hope you can find ways to control the allergies.:)

wow thanks foggy this sounds familar now,

Julie they may annoy u to wear them but will those face mask work the disposable ones

i'm sorry to hear this.
it's going to take a lot of work to "detox" your home enviroment.
going to all green will probably help you.

it's the outside environment that will be harder.

i hope that you'll be able to get this under better control so you feel better.

oh wow!! now that explains a LOT!!! like why I cannot tolerate perfumes, colognes, after shave lotions, etc. Sorry to hear of anyone with MCS, as just the sensitivities I have are annoying, but I can tolerate deodorants, scented detergents and such. I'm so sorry, Momx! I can't imagine what you are going thru

Wow, to have to stay away from everything that makes you ill! Especially when you have no control over most of that stuff. I feel for you, let us know how it's going.
