I've had this happen twice in the past week or two. I thought maybe I forgot to hit Submit, but I've never done that before...

I thought I was having MS moments but NOW, I think maybe it wasn't me!

A suggestion?

With a thread opened to a post or posts you wish to respond to, also open a second browser window using the "Reply" option.

Write the reply, and hit submit, and... don't close out that window.

Go to the window where the thread appears and hit reload or refresh.

If your post doesn't appear, use the other browser window's back button, and hit submit once again.

Again, refresh the other window.

I've had to do it a number of times at VBulletin mssg. forums (not only here, but other sites, as well).

It's not a fool-proof method, but does better ensure that a post will not drift into cyberspace.
