Turned into fathers day poem
 

I wrote this in college. One year the newspaper was printing fathers day poems so I sent it in and they printed it.

Thev'e got it wrong
Those dam shows on the tube
Some movies are just as bad
He serves alot
Not weenies and beans
He does alot
Cleans and fixes
Wouldn't be a family without him

(for the paper I changed "dam" to "darn")

I wrote that when thinking of my dad & his four kids. My mom died when I was almost 9. After awhile his mother, my grandma, moved in to help watch us while he went to work.

Like the fathers day poem you should add to it now that time has passed i bet you could add some nice memories of dad to the poem you began back then..just a thought it is great how it is now but seems kinda short for such a cool dad. ;). And sorry for your loss of mom I lost my dad when I was 13 and I thought that was hard. hugs to ya Lor :hug: and Kudos to your dad!
