I found something that really works!!

I have to tell you that I have been complaining about my elbows alot (My rsd started in my foot and spread to all limbs) My elbows were hurting a lot so my brother was telling me how he bought a magnetic bracelet and it cured his tennis elbow. I was skeptical but he kept hounding me to try them so I bought two bracelets (one for each arm). The pain in my elbows is all but gone! I waited 2 weeks to write because I wanted to make sure I wasnt imaging it. I highly recommend giving it a shot- I bought 2 bracelets for $30.00 so it wasnt much of an investment. I tried putting one on my ankle but it found it too annoying and it didnt help...

Next I am going to look for magnetic strap to help with other areas!!

Oh I had never thought to mention magnetic stuff here...dohh!

I used magnetic bracelets & a necklace for my RSI sx for years.
But in my situation since I was able to keep working longer pain free or with less pain - I ended up with RSI/TOS.

There are so many pretty and comfortable magnetic products now than there was in 99:rolleyes:
They even have mattress pads, chair pads , car seat covers with magnetics

I'd be interested to hear if others try them and if it helps for them too.

Hmmm - one of the properties of magnetics is the increase of blood flow to the area.....

do a search...there are some of the PN members that have used magnets for a long time.

Hey, I'd like to try a bracelet. Where did you get your? Bless you. My RSD is only affecting my left arm and wrist and the pain is minimal at this point, but I'm about to have my plate in my arm removed and it might flare up again.
Hang in there. Susie:)

work??????

How would it work if I have a scs. Would it affect that unit? That is my biggest fear. I am not suppose to have any magnets near my unit or I could mess my unit up is what my doc told me. So do u think it could work for me? I am very happy that it worked for u. That is great news.I hope you keep having the good luck.

Sincerely,
screwballpookie:)

Most of these types of magnets aren't very strong- but I don't know how sensitive the SCS are to any magnetics....

I wonder if something like near/far infrared would work in your case, instead???

It increases blood flow to the area also.
I use a heating pad version for my RSI/TOS, but it doesn't get real hot just warm.
Hubby has just tried it for his wrist pain and says it is helping it too.

Wal-Mart has a variety of magnetic bracelets for 5 dollars! Don't know how good they are. I bought one yesterday. I'll let you know. Susie

Hey Jo55,
Thank you for the suggestion, but I am a little lost. What is near/far ifrared? I have never heard of it. I have tried so many things for my rsd and get minimal relief. Rsd just plain sucks. I wish I never had gotten it. Oh well I guess i just have to live with it just like like I have.
