...of being a long one! I mistakenly passed by a mirror a few minutes ago, and AAAARGH! Death warmed over. Something the cat dragged in.

I shuffled into the kitchen and said to Bob, "I look terrible!"

Now the thing he might have said would have been, "Why do you say that?" or "No you don't" or possibly, "You do seem a bit tired this morning."

What he said was "Yeah."

*sigh*

Sometimes confirmation isn't exactly what you want! :D

I know what ya mean B2Y, Thursday I asked my dh 'do I look as bad as I feel' he said 'worse'! :D I was inclined do agree with him but still :)! I hope you feel better soon and I'm sure you look great...at least you have feathers :D.

Awww...B2Y. Don't despair!! If your husband is anything like mine was I could have walked in and said "Tim, there's a hippo in the pool - do you mind if I fish him out and feed him breakfast?" He'd have said "yeah..whatever you want." :eek: :p

If it's any comfort I don't exactly look my best first thing in the morning, either!! :hug:

What's scary is, What if this IS my best???? :eek:

Well, B2, I guess I've just resigned myself to the fact that "it is what it is". I do try to look my best - for whom I don't know....I guess for me. Maybe the cats??

I guess I'm just to the point of "what you see is what you get." I have a hard enough time trying to find the energy to look my best. If anyone doesn't like what they see I guess they can look the other way. I do the best with what I have to work with....and that changes everyday.

It's what's in your heart that matters....everything else is just aesthetics.

So what? You don't have to look at you.

I walked by the mirror the other morning and gasped at my own reflection. My eyes are bright red, swollen, and dry. I look like someone on the play ground held me down and rubbed sand in my eyes. I walked into the kitchen, almost tearful and announced that I looked awful! The DH said, yeah, you do, but you have been through so much. dont worry about it. :eek: Dont worry about it? !! ACK! its REALLY bad if he says yeah. He would rather eat his own shoe than make a bad remark.

I still wanna go fishing for the hippo in the pool. that made me giggle
