DETOX PATCH?? What are your Experiences OR Opinions?

I have seen them advertized and am seriously considering trying them. Build up of toxins I certainly believe can make you feel like CRAP, especially as we get older.

I sounds plausable that toxins can be drawn OUT of the body this way but is it for real or is it a scam?? I mean these pads are saturated with herbs that draw toxins out overnight.

They are quite expensive. $20. just for 5 nights worth. I might be tempted to try one package. Instructions say to use them every night for a month then once a week after that BUT thats $240. 5/30 = 6 X $20. = $240.

I saw one site TELLING it is soaked with Wood Vinegar. Now if that is all it is don't you think making them yourself would be a lot cheaper?? I mean LOOK at this site:

" Exper harmful dampness
Relieve pain and reduce swelling
Cleanse the blood
Improve the activty of heart
Promote healthy blood circulation
Enhance body immune system
Dissipate fatigue
Feel more energetic
Improve the quality of sleep

Detoxification Theory

Toxic accummulation can lead to disease, When the waste products in our body reaches an excessive level, they can cause fatigue, restlessness or other health problems.

We are constantly bombarded by pollutants from our surrounding environment and toxins in our food and drink. If not eliminated, they become toxic waste that accumu lates in our bodies and contributes to all kinds of diseases and chronic tiredness. Accumulated toxic waste tend to bog down all body systems so that it makes the organs, joints and tissues of body become prone to inflammation. As bacteria begins to thrive, disease come into being. In order to stay healthy and vigor, and to keep away from many kinds of degenerative disease, we should regularly cleanse our bodies of accumulated toxins.

The soles of feet are the second heart of body and they are reflexive zones of the body's internal organ the system.

Use instruction

1. Place the plaster on the painful area directly, such as foot, neck, shoulder, elbow, waist and knee.

2. Place the plaster on the painful area together with sole reflection area, it will be more effective. "

I intend to do more Searching AND get some of this wood vinegar and some pads and TRY this myself. I will let you know how it goes. I am thinking there MAY be some validity to the principle but the Prices for these things ARE outrageous, THAT may just be the SCAM part.

What is wood vinegar or pyroligneous acid?

Wood vinegar, or pyroligneous acid, is the fluid or sap derived from tree cells, which exhibits exceptional permeability and sterilizing properties. During experiments, it was confirmed that the great absorbing power of wood vinegar makes it fit to be used in physiotherapy, for minor pain relief and to decrease swelling in the body. Wood vinegar or pyroligneous acid has also traditionally been used as an insect repellant, deodorizer, antibacterial agent, sterilizer, alkaline bath and wash, and food additive.

Pyroligneous acid is obtained by the dry distillation of wood. This is a development of the traditional process of charcoal burning or the burning of wood in an airless condition reducing it to a charcoal rather than a carbon dioxide, water vapor and ash. In the process of wood distillation, a chamber of firebricks is substituted for the mound of earth, and a device is added to collect and cool the vapors released to condense them. The condensate consists of pyroligneous acid and a tarry residue, which will separate and settle upon cooling.

Well, according to this site, these patches can be used anywhere on the body for Pain Relief:

http://body-relief.com/

"The average American household is a toxic chemical dump. People have antimicrobial soaps, dryer sheets with toxic chemicals, and then there are people using all sorts of personal perfumes and fragrance products that are also loaded with cancer-causing chemicals. You've got people putting deodorant in their armpits, and that deodorant contains aluminum which promotes dementia and Alzheimer's disease. And if that's not enough toxicity, you can buy air fresheners that will release a mist of toxic chemicals into the very air that you breathe so that you can inhale carcinogenic chemicals directly into your lungs. Beyond all that, we have the shampoos which are also loaded with all sorts of toxic chemicals, and we have the cleaning products that contain solvents which directly promote cancer as well as birth defects. And this isn't even to mention the food supply yet, because the food supply in the average American household contains yet more toxic chemicals." News Target Network

And lets not forget the air we breath and water that we drink!

"Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, circulatory disorders, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, and hormonal problems are diseases commonly related to chemical exposure."

O.K.,

EACH PACKET CONTAINS 10 PADS WITH 10 ADHESIVES

Buy 1 through 3 packets for $20 for each packet

Buy 4 through 9 packets for $18 for each packet

Buy 10 through 19 packets for $16 for each packet

HERE you get one month's worth for $20. That is way more reasonable. I MIGHT order one from this site.

Capitilizing the first letter of the first word of a sentence is good grammar. I sometimes will put a word in all caps for emphasis. If a person types an entire sentence or paragraph or post ALL in caps then that is considered yelling. Yes, I am aware of that.

I for sure am not trying to offend anyone with my style of typing.
