Thursday night ABC has a series starting on John Hopkins. I saw a clip about ECT and depression. They showed a woman undergoing shock therapy and she was happy with her results.

It may be an answer for RSD as well. I'm going to check it out. Who knows. The technique has improved greatly from what I understand.
