Ah yes, one must train for events like this so that endurance is not a problem.

Ich bin zu einem deutschen Oktober fest gewesen und es war überwältigend. Ich habe ein Bier angeordnet und sie haben mir einen stein gebracht, der sechs Bier halten könnte! haha












Translation: I've been to a German Oktober fest and it was awesome. I ordered one beer and they brought me a stein that could hold six beers! haha

Am I the only one who didn't know that Oktoberfest is actually in September!!:eek: DH recently clued me in.

I'm very excited - I'll actually be there in Germany this year!! Our first post-move trip will include our very first real Oktoberfest!

You are going to have so much fun!!!!! They dress in the old style clothes and dance and drink and dance and drink and dance and drink...lol Oh and they yell and have fun. :D Wait until you see the beer container. It looks like an oil truck! :p We were in a huge tent with tables lined up everywhere so people could converse together. So much fun!

They always end the first Sunday in October. It begins two weekends before that.

I think ya gotta have reservations to get into a tent any more. When I went, it was a freeforall thing (1980, 1982, 1983).
