Response to Dawn RE: Article in newspaper

This is really a reply to Dawn’s thread. I started a new thread so everyone would take a look of what
happened when I responded to the govenor about this article.

Way back after the House AND Senate passed this bill, I wrote to the gov to please stop hurting the people of Calif and pass this bill. He wrote back and here is a part of the response I received. I was not happy. Basically he puts businesses ahead of the health care RIGHTS of the citizens. And he is proud of it!!!

"Thank you for sending me your email opposing SB 815. Hearing from my fellow Californians is very important to me as I work to improve our great state.

After extensive consideration and thorough deliberation from proponents and opponents of this issue, I have decided to veto this bill. I simply cannot support a measure that would harm small businesses by reversing many of the gains now powering California's economy.

California's workers' compensation system was in crisis prior to my taking office.......
Through hard work and the reforms enacted in 2004, we have dramatically lowered costs, improved efficiencies and reduced litigation that burdened our businesses.
These efforts have saved businesses billions of dollars and led to more than 600,000 new jobs since I took office.

I will continue to defend the workers' compensation reforms to ensure the strength of California's businesses, and I pledge to veto other bills as they cross my desk that will damage our state's economy"

That last paragraph tells me he will continue refusing to help injured workers -- now and in the future -- with medical care because it hurts insurance companies to pay the bills they promised to pay. If he wins the governor seat again, our frustration will only get worse over the next 4 yrs. I have no doubt about that since the bill passed both house and senate and he, 1 man took action to destroy our lives even more than our injuries already have. Should 1 man have the power? Why have any other politicians if he is the final decision?
Fire them and use their salaries to pay for our medical needs.

Hope

Bumping This One Up..

That just inferiorates me... He cares nothing for the injured people of California.. I hope when we go out and vote on Nov 7th we remember this and Vote for someone who is going to help us in the future because we know the current Governor isn't going to help...
Hope, I'll give you a call after Thursday.. I see the Ortho tomorrow.. So I'll have a update for you..

Geez! Just imagine what would happen if that sucker--one day, somehow, maneuvers his way into the presidency!
