Can you name this for me please?
Remembering that it's winter here in Australia at the moment, can one of you lovely ladies please tell me what this pretty little bush is that has burst into full bloom?
The flowers started out white, but now are turning mauve. It's about 2 foot tal but I have no idea how long it's been in the garden as we only moved in 5 months ago. Here's a photo for you to look at. |
babys breath anne???

I'm not sure but my best guess would be some sort of weigelia, and I doubt I spelled that right.
:o |
Thanks Frank, but this doesn't look like the Baby's Breath that I know. Thank you though. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Mine has tiny clusters of miniature white bells with dark centrers, the approx size being 2 pin heads to each bloom. The leaf is a tiny straight one not unlike a pine needle . A forward slash / is about the thickness, shape and similar size, although the peice I'ce cut off has smaller needle type leaves. |
Could it be lavender?
|
I don't know but it's pretty!

Don't know either could you send us some to plant it really pretty. hugs Sue

Yes it is pretty Sandy, and that's why I'm so interested in finding out more about it. Before I can mail you a piece Shiney Sue, first we have to name it, then we need to find some-one in the Customs Dept who we can bribe, then we.........only joking Officer! :o |
It kind of looks like maybe, possibly a type of lilac? Does it smell good?
|
It looks like Bridal Wreath Spirea from the photos.
