Hello all,
Just checking in, i have started taking 400 mg of tegretol now i was taking 300mg i finally braved it and started to take what i am supposed to i just hated feeling tired i am still in pain but the pain level is about a 7 out of 10 now as compared to 11 out of 10 i am starting to notice different pain areas my top of my head really hurts now as well as the left side behind my ear and the right side behind my ear it is like it moves around does anyone else experience this it is happening on a daily basis for me!

Hello Melina. I just wanted to say Hi to a fellow Ozzie, and let you know that my hubby and I honey mooned in Adelaide 20 years ago this October. We have been thinking of going back there for an anniverary holiday later this year.

During our honeymoon we sayed in a motel on the beach at Glenelg, and when we weren't walking on the beach at sun-up or sun-set, had a wonderful time touring the vineyards in the Adelaide hills.

I too take Tegretol for nerve pain, and my hubby just started taking it over the past few weeks for his sciatica and other back pains.

I'm sorry that you're having a tough time Melina, but I want you to know that you're not alone.

Hi Melina(waving from the US). I've got TN and I also get the moving pains on my scalp. For the longest time I thought it was related to TN but I've recently found out that mine are related to occipital neuralgia(via a neuro). I don't know if yours are TN as the first branch does cover parts of the scalp and you should discuss this with your doctor the next time you are there as they can best determine it. I have bilateral TN and mine is a mix of classic and atypical which effects all three branches on both sides. Hang in there with the meds. If you don't start to see an improvement, you should also call your doctor.
