~*~ A Very Gentle Reminder To All Gamers ~*~

The Games are meant to be fun.

Many of the Games have rules to them, but we are all human and errors can and will be made. Not everyone interprets these rules as strictly as others.

Remember, not everyone can reply fast, so there may be repeats. Some may be posting at the same time. That is ok.

Let's be respectful of each other. There is never a reason to be harsh, offensive or to call someone out for making an error.

If there are posts in this regard, please use the report post iconhttp://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/im...ons/report.gif . This will send a copy of the "offending" post directly to the Mods and Admin.

Have fun and let the Games begin.

Curious

Thanks Curious for the reminder.:)

tamiloo 07-01-2008 04:46 PM

You should make this a Sticky note...to remind us that we are here as board buddies having fun together....thanks!!...:D

Curious 07-01-2008 04:56 PM

Good idea Tam. I will before it gets burried.

I want to make note of the fact that not everyone will go to the very first post of a long thread. That does mean at times, not all the rules will be known. Also, not everyone has their preferences set the same. They may be seeing the last post first. I have mine set up that. Far less scrolling. :D

PM the member with a copy of the first to avoid taking the thread off topic is the best to handle those are situations.

Thank you so much for posting that!

I am one of the slowbies--brain and internet both on dial-up.

I have hesitated to participate in some of the games, just because I don't have the energy to go back and read dozens or hundreds of posts to see what's already happened. And even if I did, I wouldn't remember it when I played the NEXT time, and I surely wouldn't go back and read them all again.

So...I usually don't play.

Curious 07-01-2008 05:27 PM

 b2u
words are going to end up getting used more than once. it happens.

there is no way anyone should be expected to remember every word that has been posted. some of these threads will end up with a thousand posts. or more!

just play and have fun!!! :D

good idea tammy sticky note thanks curious i shall do my best to behave

tkrik 07-02-2008 09:25 AM

(((B2U))) I am sorry you feel that way and would love for you to play.

As a whole, most of us are completely understanding. The players that I am most familiar with also played on another forum. They are so understanding when we goof up. Heck, I've posted in the wrong game. More than once. lol

These games have helped me so much with cognitive issues. I don't play when my brain is in slow motion as the words have no meaning. But, they seriously have helped me quite a bit.

There are lots of double posts and posts that don't quite fit with the game but I look at those posts and work it so they fit in with the game.

I love the Nature game but am not proficient enough in quickly posting pictures. That game I just read and look at all the amazing pictures. Numbers well, I must have some lesion on my brain that rejects all numbers. LOL I don't do well with those.

Please, B2U as well as anyone else, don't be discouraged. Come play with us. Sometimes it's easier to play the games when no one or very few players are in the game room. Maybe that would be a good way to start. Look to see how many are in there and then play.

weegot5kiz 07-02-2008 09:58 AM

b2u thats my problem too, like i remember what was posted on the other pages, and I am not going to read every page every time i post, so if i duplicate something thats too bad, so dont hesitate to join us playing, you are very welcomed to play, some of us have memory issues as it is, like i said join in these are not FINAL EXAMS, these games were set up to help us keep what we got left working

bluenurse 07-02-2008 10:10 AM

Ditto to all the above. These games help to exercise your brain, but most of all they are just for FUN!! Everybody come and play!!

No icon for "bump" - it just means someone is posting on a thread so it stays at the top of the page or brings it back to the top.

Often used to bring older threads with good information back to the top for newbies.

weegot5kiz 07-02-2008 11:52 AM

thank you:bump: this what i meant by icon my bad i meant smilys

karousel 07-02-2008 02:28 PM

I am positive I've repeated -- even things I put before!! -- I have to memory but use the games to exercise my mind. I'll keep playing the games and I apologize for repeating myself (which I know I do!!).

tkrik 07-02-2008 09:55 PM

Karousel - Don't even worry. I am sure at least 1/2 of us don't remember what you posted in the games.

Today I typed out my post and thought "Oh carp, what game am I playing." I had to scroll up to see and then scroll down to see what the last few posts were to make sure I got it right. I didn't and had to delete what I was typing and back to the program. LOL.

Thank you to every one who let me play there games,it was a blaste and I enjoyed myself but I have to move on now for I think I have angryed some players and that was not my intent, I will be around just not in the games .

Curious 04-09-2009 12:25 PM

Okie Dokie Peeps,

Let's all remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. No reason to correct people on games.

They are posted to have fun with and work those brain cells. I have a few...not many.

If a game goes off track, please send me a PM and le ME get it going again. Be sure to tell me the rules. lol. Let me be the heavy. Ya'll are Board Buddies. It takes the group to keep posting to keep the games going.

Oh...also..Pm me when a thread is close to the 1000 post mark, so it can be closed and a new started.

:grouphug:
