Doc putting me on tysabri
Had my exam with the internal med doc yesterday. My tb test came back negative, so looks like I'm good to go for getting on tysabri.
Guess I'll have to update my ipod and stock up on reading material. My gf who goes to the same MS center I do says it takes around 3 hours total. At least it's just once a month. She said she uses the same vein and it recovers just fine. She's been on it for almost a year now. My last steriod treatment they kept putting in a butterfly needle and using my one good vein so by the 4th day it wasn't doing well. |
Welcome to the Tysabri Club!
I bet that everything will go very well. -Vic |
Yes, welcome to the Tysabri club! :partytime2:
I had my first infusion 2 days ago. All I have left as a reminder is the small bruise on my arm. Other than that, no problems! |
Welcome on the train - hope it all goes well for you

Hi BTB! :) Have you checked out our Ty sticky? Lots of info on Ty and all of us Ty people :D.
|
Hi Baxter! I'm not on Ty but I hope you do well on it. I've heard some wonderful things about it and I hope it works for you!

Hope that Ty works well for you...I don't know anything about the drug except for how well it's helping MS patients I know. Take care of yourself...let us know how it goes. |
Hi, I hope all goes well for you on Ty. I was wondering why you need to be tested for TB before you go on Ty? My doctor wanted to work me up for Ty, too, and being tested for TB was not on his protocol.

I love the freedom that I got with Tysabri. No more being tied to a daily shot schedule and not having to worry about meds not being cool enough, etc.
Come on up to the Tysabri thread when you get scheduled and let us know! |
