Update

Just thought I would update you guys. Still struggling along. My last test results were:

Present, Serum b12 2000 range 211-911
MMA 86 73-376
Homeocysteine plasam 4.0 0.0-15.0
Pariental Cell Antibody negative.

March, serum 353, MMA 490, homocysteine, normal.

Here is my problem. Still feel like crap. I was giving myself daily injections, and it just seems to wear off after 24 hours. I've tried to stretch it to 4 days, and by the 3rd day all of my symptoms started coming back. I've been doing injections since the middle of May. I'm trying to taper off, but I feel horrible when I do. I still take a daily sublingual 5,000 mcg. I've seen 2 Naturopathic Dr.'s, one said to do it daily, the other said to quit. I don't know what to do, or basically when to take my injections, but I feel just terrible if I try to stretch them out. Any thoughts. I wish Rose would come along and put in her sage advice. I get so confused about this, and I feel so badly. Thanks.

It would seem to me if the shots are helping why stop? It's not like there are major side effects from them. If it's helping you feel better that's a big deal.

I agree. I was worried, because I've been having to take them almost daily since the middle of May. What about this loading phase? I thought by now, I should be able to take sublinguals since my labs show I'm restored, but I just can't do it, so it's okay to take it almost daily for months, maybe forever. Just curious. Thanks for responding. D

As far as I can determine there's no danger from excess B12. And as far as the loading phase goes I would think that would be different for each of us. There is also this, if you're body isn't breaking down or absorbing the B12 from your digestive tract for any number of reasons that might account for some of what you're experiencing. Not being a doctor I have no idea why you're seeing what you are.
