Update on my neuropathy

Hello,

I thought I would write a wee post to update anyone who has wondered how I've been getting on. I have been doing well. I had a death in my family a few months back and needed some time to myself. I am doing well health wise (better than usual), and I have regained enough nerve function to live relatively normally. I haven't had much dramas, but looking back I see that I suffered an extreme case of anxiety/panic disorder brought on by my illness. I have overcome that to a large degree by not focusing on my neuropathy as much. This in part has been a great comfort for me as it has allowed me to again find pleasure in activities and hobbies. Due to my muscular skeletal issues I take pain medicine now and again, but nothing stronger than OTC meds. The weather here has been very heavy and the damp really penetrates the bones. This has caused me to be very stiff & athritic, which I blame myself because I stopped exercising. I need to start exercising at least 2 days a week again.

Anyways, I see there are so many new people on the Forum. Welcome to all new comers.:)

But I hope that they will not need the forum for too long. This has always been a wonderful place with much combined knowledge to share.

Wishing everyone here good health-

Cheers,
Aussie:)

Good to hear from you

Wow guys! It seems so weird to think you have winter. We are baking in a hot dry Texas Summer.

Aussie, I'm glad you seem to be feeling better. And I'm also glad to read you are getting some normal activities in your life again. Sorry to hear of the death in your family. I've had some of those lately too that have affected me. But it seems life goes on anyway. Keep up whatever you are doing. You sound wonderful.

Winter 'Down Under' in OZ.
Seems strange to converse with someone who is
on the opposite side of the Equator.
Hope it isn't too harsh & cold for y'all.
Here on the mid East Coast of the USA, its been weeks of 90 degree 'plus'.
Days of 92-96 (or more), with breaks down to the mid to high 80's.
Summertime here, and August will be hotter, still.
No break til the end of Sept for us here in MD.
(I live, just 45 miles from Washington D.C.)

Aussie !!!!!! WOW

Soo good to hear GOOD news of sorts. ANY sorts!

BTW: 95 f = 35 c.... So's you get the idea - don't forget this country ALMOST went metric but chickened out. I always had trouble w/the math?
Now there are web sites that do it for ya!

Somehow, getting any part of your life back w/PN and stuffs is a gift...truly!

Hugs and hope for the future!!!!!!!!!!! - j :hug:

Hi Brian,
It's been very cold here too. My house is on a valley (somewhat),and I get alot of damp coming into my house. The weather is very much like living in England. Not like Sydney at all. This does feel like the coldest winter in a very long time. Very nice to hear from you Brian.:)

Hi Billye,

What I wouldn't do to bake right now!:D

You're right life does go on. But I did take the death very hard. It's a horrible thing to loose someone close to you. I guess I needed some time to reflect on my life. I hope you are doing well and if staying indoors with some nice air con.

Hi Bob,

Yes it is winter down under! He He

There is snow all over. Brian lives in a colder area than I, but it's still very cold this year and quite damp.
