Cmyk

In my lesson in Photo Shop there is a section on color. If I knew how to pronounce these 2 colors I might be able to remember them better. Can anyone help me out on how to pronounce them?

1. C - cyan
2. M - magenta

I remember magenta from it being a color in the really big box of crayons that I used to have as a kid. They didn't have a cyan:( as I recall. But magenta was one of my faves. Your original post mentioned CMYK. That's Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, And Key...Key means black.

Thank you everyone.

Shelly, I'd love for you to pick my brain about Photo Shop. I would love someone to talk about it with. I've just begun in it though so I don't know much.

I used to play with Photochop...still kinda do...are you using Photoshop native or the CS (creative suites) or photoshop elements?

I prefer elements moiself...would love to learn/talk/chop...although, I really shouldn't be messing with these things when I have tons of other things to learn...ROFL...

I am greedy geeky moi...*bigsigh...need two heads...

Hi Moi,

I am using PS Elements. If you do have the time maybe we could take an intermediate class together online when I get good enough to? I'd love to.

hey bfd,

I took an on-line class from Sony 101 (I know, I know, after all I've said about Sony...LOL)

but it's a cool class. They divide it up to 4 classes, it's all free. And the turn around time is about 5 days for each lesson. Really flexible.

I'll include the link below. They may not offer it now, or if they offer Photoshop CS 2, you can still sign up if it is a basics class cause most of the tools are the same.

I've used Photoshop native and I actually prefer elements better. And I can't see spending a couple of grand for CSII or 800 smackers for photoshop itself...

and I think after you've take the basic one, you can just learn the rest on your own. I have had fun restoring some of our family's old photos...

here's the link:

sony 101

let me know, I might take a refresher course with you if I have the time...I would like to get back into it and learn some more stuff...LOL
