other online selling sites

we already have a selling on eBay thread, but I thought it might be helpful for those who are considering starting some form of online sales to have some ideas of other online selling venues, apart from one's own website, (which is always a plus)

hope this helps some who may be looking for an online outlet

Please add any other online selling venues that can help other members

ps remember *no* referral or affiliate links please!!

What about craigslist? It's a freebie, no cost.

I am not SELLING anything ...

just giving out some information where
you can list your items for free as many
as you want to list ...

ecrater

It has been around for a very long time,
but I hadn't been in there for quite awhile,
for I've closed the store a long time ago
when I underwent a divorce...

There is a FLIP side to this place, while
easy to use; but it is LIMITED, no fancy
schmancy html, xhtml, yadda, yadda, yadda's.

It's all plain and simple text.

But you can use BOLD and Italics
and that's just pretty much about it.

You can't use "meta or mega" tags, but there's
a way to get those spyders, bots, and other
search engines to your website (YES, you get
your own website) is how CLEVER you are in
wording out the description!

If you really want to sell, it pays to be specific
and detailed to the core.

Just saying 4 foot tall new Silk Tree in a planter
just isn't going to do.

What type of a tree is that in the picture? And
while it does enable photos uploaded, at no cost
to you, but you need to be specific, as even mentioning
such as nice chocolately-brown basket, nearly life-like
leaves where it's deceptive, fooling even mother nature
into believing it's real! This 4 foot silk tree comes in
a 2.5 inch planter, included in a cardboard box, with
leaves shaped to your hearts desires which can be
easily spread out to the circumstances of as wide as
5 feet, or keep it closely knitted for that bushy feeling
for those tight places to highlight that empty space
in your own home, apartment, or condo!

(That's clever and it will sell)

So paying attention and browsing around at other
Sellers will get attention.

IT DOES help to post in there that you are a reputatable
eBay, Half.com, etc, Seller with XXX+ feedbacks, but you
are not permitted to post links.

IT DOES give you the POWER and ABILITIES to
select what Countries you wish to make yourself available
to, and as for S&H (Shipping and Handling) that is also
in there for each item you select - however, if you offer
"discounts" for multiple purchases - you would need to
post that in the auction description somewhere.

They have a "Shopping Cart" format, so it enables you
to have customers pay now.

IT IS a headache to get it all started, but worthwhile
once it's all set up - and then you can be rocking!

:Good-Luck:

My wife's store is offering good discounts on art supplies and specialty books. The website also lists the art classes being offered throughout the country, including amazing botanical artists from around the world.
