Baby Robins Update

A few weeks ago I told you about a nest of baby Robins we have - well, we have 2 nest.... one out front, one out back and both haver Babies. Out back we can see 4 birds in the next but we can't tell out front, but there is a few for when the are hungry they call for momma!!!

Last Thursday we had a terrible wind / rain storm. One baby in each nest fell out - Momma was feeding them on the ground. Last night DBF said he couldn't find the one out front - he searched and searched - we are afraid something got it. The one outback hopped its way to the deeper grass and momma still seems to be feeding it and is safe.

They are so funny to watch..... baby update from here.

It's hard to imagine a Robin's nest full of those fluffy lil babies. When they fall out, they look so big on the ground. Guess they still have their baby fat. I have really started noticing birds this yr, Char and am having fun watching the hummies and finches.

Oh, and we have several pairs of Doves that are just so cute.

Robin update~~ film at eleven. {{{{Char}}}}

we looked early this morning and they were all there in the nest..... after I sat and typed this I went to look at the nest and it is empty! They flew away! The nest is empty......

Look around, Char! They might be in flight school, it's hilarious to watch. Check toward twilight too, they may be back home for the night.

Every year, I am fortunate to witness flight school right here from my back porch. For some reason, the roof of a bay window is both high enough and low enough and that seems to be where several species have chosen to conduct training.

It's a riot when the one slow learner gets pushed around by the mom to get going and try again. :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO:

Yeah Char, just be patient. AMN'S Mother had to do the same thing to her, since she was the slow learner of the bunch. :ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO:

Birds are so awesome. You're lucky to have 2 for the price of 1 :)

They sure do grow up fast.

We do love our birds around here..... was so excited to have two sets!

I will keep an eye out later to see if they come back. Can't see the nest out front but I haven't heard them today either..... they can be quite vocal when they are hungry.

do you know of anyone else who can be quite vocal???? :eek:
