Where can I get cooling vest asap?

Well, since I can't be outside for more than a few minutes without feeling awful, I'm on the hunt for a cooling vest. Looked on line and in a couple of stores, can't find one...
Leaving for vacation in the next few days, which means I have to get a hold of one quickly.
Anyone know where I can pick one up in the western suburbs of Chicago?

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

Debbie, have you looked at Bass Pro Shop? Maybe give them a call and see what they have. Also try any hunting supplie store. How about the ms society? I think there is an office in Owego?

K-Mart, Wal-mart or any other low-end mart will have fishing vests, find one that fits comfortably with a zipper, then go over a couple aisles and load up on plastic icepacks. Figure out how much weight you can handle and go for it.

They do make cute purple fishing vests too!

Thanks...I thought I saw one somewhere, but of course I can't for the life of me remember where...might have been Bass Pro Shops when I was lurking around looking at lures, etc.
I'll try there, Walmart, etc tomorrow...if not, I'll try to find a cute lavender vest and pack some ice packs; not to be used for fishing! I have to do something...I can't believe how weak I feel after just a few minutes outside in this heat:(

Debbie, look for those cooling neck wraps too. They don't have to be frozen, you just run cold water over them and tie around you neck. Jim has several. I think you can find them at Walmart or Walgreens.

try sporting good stores like oshmans or acadamy.

Contact MSAA. They have been sending out cooling vests/equipment to PwMS for free.

I have a spare coolmedics vest (never used, still in the package) size small (gray with yellow lining, actually cute). Yours if you want it, send me a PM with your info and I can overnight it.

Thanks all...Bets, I appreciate the offer, but I'm definitely not a small:(

I'm going to go hunting for one after taking the inlaws on their errands.

Thanks again...and keep cool...even northern Wisconsin, where we're going, is going to be warm the next week, and we only have a window air conditioner in our bedroom. Guess I'll be spending a lot of time in there!!

I got my Sta-Cool a month and half ago and don't know how I lived without it. IT is the coolest thing I own (Pun intended!).

Google Sta-Cool for the info.
