Two discrete types of MS - Article
I found this very interesting and it would explain why so many of us have different reactions to the different DMD's. It will also probably lead to more effective treatments down the road. I think sometimes I wish I'd been DX'd 10 years from now when these new things are available, but then I think of my uncle who was dx'd in the 70's and he had nothing. I'm fortunate.

Thanks for posting this, Keith. I saw this about a week ago (I think it was on Science Direct) and meant to post it in a few places but I've obviously been very lazy. An article definitely worth reading! (And it definitely supports my own theories about our mysterious disease.)

Thanks for this info. I find it interesting that it is U of M's study because I was at a Michigan NMSS seminar about 2 yrs ago that pointed to a study showing there were 4 different types of MS lesions and each one may correlate to a different type of MS. I wonder what happened with that study.

I find it interesting and I'm glad to see more money has been set aside for this project. |
