Help with working while disabled...
I'm in Florida and wondering where I can go to find out the rules, do they have publications we can order or PDF's somewhere? Thanks in advance everyone. :)
Also interested in going back to school while disabled, not sure there are any info docs on that either... |
Hi Pam,
IF you go to ssa.gov there is a link to working on beneftis and also about the ticket to work program. I did go to school through assistance with office of vocational rehabilatation and then work part time with their asistance. If I remember on WWW.SSA.GOV there is a publication called the big red book, red book, blue book? I did just take a leave and receive UC benefits and am going to start an after care program for kids in the local school district...the latch key kids. I can earn up to $900 and have no significant physical improvement for quaters. IF any time they determine that happens I have 36 months to work before they cut benefits but I can go back on without reopening a claim. Now If I have any months that earnings go above the income that will be a month against me. So far after 3 years I did not have any months or improvment. Also, I did not have the three year reveiw as I gave my TTW in. That was an anxiety lifter for me. I had a post from a SSDI seminar at a NAMI convention Oct 06 in the old BT, if you search my name. I have to figure that out, it had more details I remembered and wrote down then. Things like keepuing the medicare etc. Good luck Di |
Thanks Di! :D
