crossing borders

The world is getting smaller because of the internet. It's amazing to think about the borders that are crossed every day when people search the web.

People with pd are crossing those borders, and that is still a wonder to me. I know I posted this earlier, but it's such a good example ... Karen Painter has been contacted by people in Malaysia, Spain, and Northern Ireland about using the PD Tulip.

The folks at the Muhammad Ali Center in Phoenix have started up a new PD support group for people who speak Spanish. There is such a need that they are getting responses from people not only in the U.S., but from Mexico, Central and South America as well. One of their staff recently traveled to Colombia and spoke about Parkinson's at a conference there.

Several times Sheryl & I (pdplan4life) have been contacted by people in the UK who are looking for help with Parkinson's. So what do we do? We go to the web and search for the emails of folks at the EUPD and ask for their help.

People with Parkinson's are crossing borders and sharing information and helping each other. That's something to be proud of.

peace... let it begin with us

Better communication and peace must start and spread at the individual grassroots level before it can take hold in governments. Power to the people.

I feel like standing on the top of a hill and singing

"CUMBAYA..."
