Your experiences of 'The Rebuilder' and TENS
Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to this and have been reading Wing42's recommendations in the stickies about diet, exercise etc.. very encouraging at a time when the neuropathies have been getting worse and getting me down. I'm in the UK and before I look for a supplier for either, I wondered if anyone else has experiences of using The Rebuilder and/or TENS - and if so what did you do and did it help? Thanks! jan |
i have used my TENS for 8 years
Go to the top of page to the stickes.Click on page 3 of neuropathy does improve. my posting is # 27. i am
george 75. The tens does the same thing as a rebuilder but the cost is so much cheaper. Enter the tens in google ,there are many sellers. not all ask for a prescription. my first one i paid $100.00. the last one cost me $32.00,and is better than the first. |

I've just remembered to use the search also - and found there's already quite a bit about The Rebuilder on the forum. jan |
if you can, borrow or hire one and try it out. I didn't find TENS very useful, so I was glad that I hadn't purchased one. My physio lent me one for a couple of weeks to see if it would be useful. I just had too many areas widely separated areas of severe pain for a TENS machine to deal with it. But, it's been 10 years since I tried it, so maybe they have solved this drawback. These days I am numb rather than in pain, which brings a different set of problems.

Stick to foot pads- your spine is not a PN spot - unless you've got it there. The Rebuilder has a lot of hype and the jury is still out. Responses on posts are about 50/50. Its expensive, and so are the extras they sell to go along with it.
There used to be a competitor called the Rejuvenator, I think. Similar systems. |
Tens
The Rhab I was just in let me use the tens while I was there, and they do have a new portable one that works very well on my neck and knees so on.
They are not expensive and if Dr. approves like mine did took it home..The big ones well I like the portable..Yes I would need a full body one to stop all the pain. I to would rent one, first have them show you how to use it,we are all different,I would say are you kidding a few yrs. ago,but couldn't afford it then anyway.. Hope you like it.. Hugs to all Sue |
