SSI and SSD how long did it take after

how long did it take after they sent the 3rd party question sheet to find out about your benefits?
here is were I am at...
They are setting me up with a appointment to see how much I can do, and they sent the questions to my husband. They have gotten and gone over all of my medical records. Does anybody have a questamit at about how much longer?

From all the people's stories I've seen as they went through the process, it can take anywhere up to about 4 or 5 months once they have all your records, papers signed, doc visits they send you to. It's a process and you have to be patient. I remember reading that it won't be less than 3 months from the time you apply.

Hugs,

Karen

Thank you so much. I don't have health insurance so I really need this to get some. I am getting excited to be closer.

If I remember right those things are done at the very beginning. I was denied the first time and appealed, then denied again.......5 years later and 2 hearings where I was finally approved.

I hear of folks that got approved first time, but hear a lot more stories that are what I have gone through. You can find more info and experiences in the Social Security forum.

There are lots of posts with good information to help you complete the forms how they like to see them, and lots of good tips that covers everything else.

I wish you all the luck :)
