Hyped and Can't Sleep

Remember the guy I dated but broke up with twice? Well, he called me late this afternoon and something told me to answer and I said to him, "Hi Chris, how are you doing?" He said not too good that his dad is in the hospital and not expected to live through the night. His dad has terminal cancer. Chris told me he wouldn't have called me but he needed to talk to someone and he didn't know who to call. So we talked. He told me his mom loves the picture I took of his dad, her, and Chris and wants for me to take more. She said she will pay me for the pictures. It really made me feel great to have some one offer me money to take pictures without me doing anything except to give a couple away at 1st to be nice to them as I was dating their son at the time. All I've ever had until then to take pictures for money were my neighbors and just about all of them are out to get me for what they can get free and not pay their way. I mean if I sold one picture they'd have me taking a dozen or more and giving them to them for free. That's like the next door neighbor who I took a picture of his teeth before the Dental School started working on them for free. Well, he didn't have his facts right and the picture had already been published in the Medical Journal without me getting credits for it. I heard him tell the lady the month before last that the after effect's picture I would like credit for. I'll have to bribe him with money to stay on top of it though because like almost everyone else around here there's a price for everything. I'm not on his and his girlfriend's good list now anyway because I've stopped lending them money or taking them to the store for booze. My neighbor Dwayne seems to be pretty decent so far except for excessive talking. Also, Dwayne likes to drink coffee and so do I; only Dwayne drinks coffee at night and I have been drinking it at night with him. I had gotten in the habit of going to bed much earlier but lately all this coffee seems to be keeping me up. I'm all wired up now in the middle of the night.

Wow sounds like you're doing better befuddled2! I am so happy for you making a new friend in Dwayne and for you to be there for Chris. I hope all goes well for you. How are things going other then this? :D

Dear Befuddled,

'Sounds like you are making lots of connections in your neighborhood -- some good ones.
The coffee drinking guy sounds like he might be fun to hang out with. Is he? I don't drink coffee at all so I would have to drink something else like tea or just water.

Enjoy having other people appreciate your photos.

Thanks you two. Pam I am fine. I too am taking online classes. Mari, the guy who hangs out with me is fun but now he's in the hospital. He quit taking his meds and got messed up.

Dear Befuddled,

Oh, I hope that he gets better.
Do you like the on-line classes? How are they going?

Hi Mari,

So far I've only started one of the online classes that just started yesterday. The one that I got 80 in is on Computer Programming. The class that I haven't started on yet is on XML. The Computer Programming class is very interesting but hard. I downloaded and installed a type of a BASIC editor to learn a tad about that type of the BASIC language. That whole thing was over my head though. I think that a class in alegebra would help cause there are terms and examples in such.

Are you getting sleepy yet? I hope to go to be soon.

Dear Befuddled,
Did you get sleep?
The classes sound good.
It sounds like you find them interesting.

Hi Mari,

Yes, I like challenging things and some of the things I'm interested in are challenging. I use to buy a textbook a month but stopped when I wasn't reading them all the way through.

Keep up the good work with your classes....sounds like you are doing well!

Bizi,

I guess all the reading I did in the textbooks is what helped me pass the reading entry level tests at the college last year. I did fair that well in English and Math though.

My neighbor is suppose to get home tomorrow from the hospital. My friend, Chris, dad's viewing is tomorrow. I had planned on going but I started to freak out so I canceled my ride. I hope to go to the graveside service on Tuesday though.
