Greetings from a Brit with tech problems!
Hi all,
Heh heh, I have had a hard time getting on here (to put it mildly). First of all, the forum address kept throwing me a 403 Forbidden error. So I tried a proxy, got on fine and could register . . . but for some reason the "new thread" and "reply" buttons were missing. Curious tried to help and PMed me a copy of the image, but it showed up blank for me, it obviously wasn't loading. Tried a second proxy . . . it gave me the 403 error too. Tried a third proxy - and it let me on, lol. Anyway . . . I'm 27, female, a Brit, and a (former?) ice hockey player. I've had various neurological symptoms since the start of April, and a couple of weeks ago got a tentative diagnosis of post-viral cerebellitis. The consultant said it was very rare, and indeed there seems to be, well, nothing online about it. I'll post more details in a moment, but that's the basic intro. Hello! |
howdy mac.
i should have asked if you checked the box for nt to remember you. also to allow nt pop ups. but i'm glad you made it. |
Not knowing which search engine you used, I tried google.com, and see there are several results for post-viral cerebellitis:

Lol Curious, better late than never.
Bobbi, thanks - I went through quite a few of those links a while back and don't remember anything too helpful (though with my memory as it is, who knows?). My main memory is of a forum thread in which someone suggested it's all caused by Wi Fi towers . . . at that point what was left of my brain shut off, heh. |

Hello and welcome to NeuroTalk. Great to see you have come to be with us. Just let us know if we can be of any help. Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. Darlene  |
Hi, Mac! :Wave-Hello: Welcome to NeuroTalk!
I'm a hockey lover, so any puck of yours is a puck of mine. Hm. That doesn't sound so good, does it? ;) |
As a goalie there's nothing I like more than a puck in the face . . . that didn't sound right either, lol. Actually pucks have (one way or another) contributed heavily to the seven concussions (5 minor and 2 medium I think, I lose count, heh) I've had over the last ten years.
My neurologist said he was pretty sure that didn't contribute to my current problems, but, and I quote, "Probably not the best lifestyle choice" :-D |
Thought that might get your attention! Welcome to NeuroTalk Mac33! |
I'm replying a bit late here!
Koala, excellent motto ;-) I keep mishearing lyrics to a well known song as "If I die before I wake, at least in heaven I can skate", heh heh. But on the other hand there's an excellent autobiography about a goalie with a brain tumour called They Don't Play Hockey In Heaven . . . |
