Max Dose of Neurontin
 

Does anyone know the max you can take daily of neurontin? I can't find it on the web...I am taking 24 mg a day. I am really having problems with the cymbalta he started me on and was hoping he could increase the neurontin instead.

3600mg though some on here have gone as high as 4800mg a day

I was on 4800mg for over 3 years, but the neurontin site says 3600 as echoes said.

I know of a few people--
 

--especially those with central pain/thalamic pain, usually resulting from MS lesions in the spinothalamic tracts or from stroke there, who've gone up to 7200mg/day and were still getting at least a little benefit from it over lower dosages. The reason I mention that is Neurontin/Gabapentin is know to be less bioavailable, for most people, as the dosage rises--the "jump" in therapeutic effect from 1800 to 2400 mg is greater generally than that experienced in going from 3000 to 3600 mg, for example.

I think you must mean 2400 mg/day ??
24 mg wouldn't have any effect whatsoever.
I was taking 4200 mgs/day for 3-4 years
before switching to Lyrica.
