A question for Silverlady

Sorry to be asking so many questions of everyone, I'm just looking for answers.

I was reading your posts on your trip to Mayo. In one of your posts you indicated that while at Mayo they found that you have H-Pylori. Did they indicate that might have something to do with your neuropathy?

I was treated for it back in January of this year...I have not had a blood test since to determine if it was treated successfully.

No they didn't indicate it was causing my neuropathy. I have Sjogren's Syndrome which is causing my neuropathy. It's an autoimmune disease. You need to have a repeat test for the H-Pylori. H-P can cause stomach ulcers. I had ulcers that I didn't know I had.

Thanks for your response Billye. When I first went to the doctor with my symptoms I have none of the symptoms that one would normally have with an ulcer. I actually had some "unusual" intestional issues. The dr. said she had never heard of anyone with my type of issue. She said she had no idea where to start to she decided to test me for H-Pylori. The test came by positive so she gave me the meds and that was the end of it. My issues went away for a while but now seem to be back.

Thanks again.
