Conoscopy/Endoscopy...Update
Just wanted to let you know that I have survived the procedure. Unfortunately, many polyps/tumors were found in the colon, stomach and esophagus. and were sent for biopsy.
Im in Pain!!!!! My back is killing me and my tummy feels sore (like muscle pulls x100) and sort of burns when I eat. I spoke with the doctor on call who told me only to be concerned if my stomach is distended, pooping blood or faint. Geez, thanx doc!!! Constipation was why we had this stupid test. I was told to take 2 tylenol. On the bright side I have really pretty pictures of my insides!!!!!! I was supposed to take my rebif last nite but skipped it.....is it ok to take tonight? or should I just wait til tomorrow my regularly scheduled day????? ThankS!!!! ~Laura~ |
I'm sorry you're in pain, but pleased for your sake that the procedure is over.
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you wait on the pathology results. I know how scary that can be, but please remember that mosts polyps are benign. |
Sorry you are having pain after the procedures but considering all the trauma your body just went through, it might be expected.
You might want to call the Rebif support people and ask them, but if it were me, I would go with your regularly scheduled shot - tomorrow. When I was on Beta, I was told never try to make up shots, it's less stressful to skip than to stress over making up. |
dear MM,
i agree with cheryl's advice. best to wait til your regularly scheduled shot. i'm sending prayer and good thoughts your way for your body to settle down after all these tests and that your pain will decrease. please rest as much as possible. you might want to stick with soft and/or bland foods til your digestion improves from these tests. oatmeal, applesauce, soup etc. i pray these tests come back negative. |
Glad to hear the procedure is over with anyway.
I never had any pain after my coloscopy (other then the "normal" pain I had from the Ulcerative Colitis anyway), so it must something they did with the biopsy, or with disruption of the tumors/polyps. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Cherie |
