Finally finished: watercolor from last year's vacation!
On the way back to Logan Airport in Boston from our heavenly week on Cape Cod last September, we stopped at Plymouth to see the Mayflower II. I took tons of photos of this incredibly beautiful exact replica of the famous wooden boat. . . home to over 125 people for a treacherous journey and most of their first winter in the new World.
Last October I began this painting, but never finishing it, I packed it away. This week I got it out, and like the last picture I posted, finished it and am ready to get out another . . . or create something from scratch. It feels so good! http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/100_2250.jpg The Ship's Boat and the Shallop watercolor on Cartiera Magnani Acquerello 140lb. cold press |
=-o! that is AMAZING. I live like an hour from plymouth so I don't appreciate it as much because I can go whenever but that painting makes me want to go to plymouth plantation!

Lefthanded...
I have to tell you that I am in complete awe of your talents. Your paintings have transported me to the mountains, which I so love and now you have taken me to the sea, you have transported me back in time and I can see the pilgrams roaming around the docks next to these beautiful old boats. I can see these locations as if I am standing next to you as you photograph and paint each one of the lovely locations that you have shared with us. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Abbie |
