Serious guy laughing?

Hi All,

I have been talking to my childhood boyfriend on and off since my husband split. He was my very 1st every boy to kiss me but since I was only 14 my mom forbad me to see him. I called Mike up tonight and when he answered I said trick or treat. He said hey, in his usual serious note. I responded, "I said trick or treat, now I want my treat. He laughed for the 1st time I think since we've been talking. Just thought I'd let you know I got a laugh out of a serious person. He's been my strenght somtimes to carry on with encouraging me to go on and I will be forever thankful to him.

This is wonderful, Befuddled.
We need people who can give us strength.
I could use a few more.

Hi Mari,

When my husband was still living with me I lived so very isolated on count of how abusers do their mates. I eventually started trying to look up people I was fond of in my past and while my friend Mike was the only one who wanted to have anything to do with me that I was able to find, it was well worth any effort to find him. At 1st I contacted him to find his sister who I also hung around with as kid. Then after the split up with my husband about a month later we started talking about once a week or two.
