Shrinking unwillingly
Has anybody noticed that their entire body has reduced in size, despite eating the same? Does this disease deteriorate our usual stature, size, muscle mass?
|
Not sure, but interesting question. I lost 40lbs, 1/2 inch in height, and 3 dress sizes during the DX process. If I was really trying, I wouldn't mind being less in the weight department, LOL.
My weight's been pretty stable for about a year now though. |
I have noticed a lack of strength in my left arm, as for height have not measured myself for a while, as for weight yeah come on calgon take it away
|
I haven't noticed a difference in height.
I have noticed a difference in width, though. And not the way I want it to go....if you know what I mean. :o |
I didn't eat much when things were bad (kept forgetting/had no appetite), but I kept the weight on because I always had to get up in the middle of the night to eat or I couldn't sleep either.
Not getting much heart-pumping exercise doesn't help with losing weight. My leg/arm muscles look buff :), and I thought that was a good thing until I realized it was just the up side of spasticity. :( Cherie |
I knew I was shrinking - that's why my belly looks bigger!!!

I don't know if MS does this but, age does. I'm in my 60s, but haven't noticed any change in height. But, I do look like I'm 6 months Prego..:D....I blame MS and the lack of exercise for that..

I always say I'm 5'2, but I seem to recall that being my mother's idea because I was so sad about being short. I think it was 5'1.5 at that ;)
I was actually planning on having my GP or neuro measure my height to be sure :) |
me too I am going to see pcp friday and ask when there to find out, because now i am wondering
|
My left leg has become noticeably smaller as I've lost muscle mass due to weakness on that side. Even with physical therapy and doing exercises to increase strength, I can still see my thigh and calf are small on that side.
