Hello

Hi,I'm married to pain and have been for many years. It's hard to watch someone you love suffer from severe head pain every day of their life and ther's nothing you can do to help. My husband has Occipital Neuralgia ,a very severe case of it. I have spent all of my free time researching different treatments and options. He has the nerve stripped, severed and injected none of which worked but only made it worse. We are now waiting for surgery to put a peripheral nerve stimulater in his head which zapps the pain.He did a test one back in May and it reduced his pain and meds by half so now we wait for the permanent one which could take forever because we live in Canada and time is something my husband doesn't have very much of anymore. A solution is there for him but we have to wait our turn which could be months or as much as a year waiting list. Thanks for listening.Just needed to vent!

Hi, MTP...

It's very nice to meet you. :) I'm very sorry about your husband's condition, but he is very lucky to have so much support from you. I know that means a lot to him. My wife was supportive for the first year or so before she gave up on me, and it made such a difference! So know that you are already probably helping your husband more than you know.

Good luck to you and your husband, MTP, and I hope that by some miracle he gets his surgery a lot sooner than you expect.
