What's on your plate?

We took Cooper down to the big park south of town because I wanted to be walked too...:D Such beautiful weather...I was so suprised to see a sign in the park directing VolksMarchers where to meet! I hadn't thought of that in years.

When our Michael was stationed in Germany years ago, he used to walk in those marathon walks and they gave you very elaborate medals upon completion of the walk...of course the search was on...and I found them tucked away in his "shrunk". 8.INT. Volkswanderung
Langenlonsheim/N 1984

is one of them...they are heavy and elaborate and I'm going to need to google volksmarching. Wonder what I should do with them..hold them close I guess in the hopes that someday his son will care enough to talk about his dad, to want his things, things that I consider treasures.

Nikki, bless your heart for your kind words. It's an awful thing we have in common..to have someone we loved so dearly, choose to end their lives.
I know, that you know, that I know. :(

Cheryl I am so happy for you!!! What a wonderful trip to look forward to..we will of course want pictures and details. and I took pictures of that big rose of sharon bush with a zillion buds that never open! I will soon attack it with shears!

Wren...I love you..thank you for checking in.

I need to get off here because the Gathiers are on PBS!!

Hugs for the room....:grouphug:

What's on my plate...sure you want to know. I have so much to do around the house, don't know if I will ever catch up.

The last few mornings I have woke up feeling quite anxious. Not sure where that is coming from. This a calendering time of year for me and maybe it is that don't know. I feel like I'm running and can't keep up or don't want to....

I would like to go for a drive with my honey...that might be a good idea!

Hope all is great for all of you!!

I took a little drive to watch my family swim at my nephew's birthday (pool) party.

I didn't stay long... but am now completely worn out.

I think I'm going to try to stay up long enough to watch Michael Phelps swim then hit the hay...

So...what's on your plate??

My plate's been piled rather high lately!

I still need to have that melanoma removed because the receptionist at the surgery bungled my appointment and it had to be rescheduled.

My eldest son is having surgery tomorrow, and I'm worrying myself sick over that.

My DD is looking for a new job in a new city, in a new state. She works for the Defence Department, and is looking to change locations.

Our youngest son, and father to our DGS, is a Gym teacher at school. (Both sons are Gym Teachers) He plays heaps of sports and at 30 he's wearing himself out with his sports, all the hard work he does and running around that he does for his lazy wife. I really do care for her, but she's just extremely lazy! I worry that he's going to blow a gasket if he doesn't slow down soon.

DH has a bad back and knees that are 3/4 worn out. He's in constant pain and often has difficulty just walking around. Although he's on a disability pension, lately he's talking about going back to work! I'm really not happy about that, because the MRI of his back does not look good, and he's waiting to see a neurosurgeon with the probability of spinal surgery.

My thoughts and prayers have been taken up lately by friends that I've made via this web site. Friends who've been having a tough time! I won't mention names, because they know who they are. I just wanted to let them know that they are in my thoughts every single day.

Over and above all that.....DGS is just just gorgeous ... as usual ... thank goodness ... because he helps to keep me motivated.

:yahoo: LOL. I love that icon! Ok...a new day, a clean plate.

Church services are going to be held at a local park this morning, followed by a carry in dinner. Just finished making a watermelon salad, managed to cut my finger but what the hey...watermelon is red. *grin

Anne, you do have waaaaaaaay too much on that plate of yours.

Abbie is your nephew a Michael Phelphs in the making?? We are going down state on Friday to watch our grandson play football...I hope this glorious weather holds.

And Tammy...you know that you are one of my heroes...ck your pms.

Addy?? We wanna know how the reception went??? :grouphug:

What's on your plate???

On my plate... sleep and rest!

I updated my thread - the reception went wonderfully and Derek and I connected !!! I am sooooooooo happy! I was a very proud mamma seeing her three sons all together having laughs and good times!

Today I'm at work - exhausted from the weekend - and its hotter than the dickens outside... thank goodness its air conditioned in here. I was planning to do some cleaning in the afternoon but may take one more day of rest.

I was recently trained for my new job at the public library - that added some stress but I'll get over it!

I've got fruit to pick or the bears will soon be lolly-gagging in my yard! A course to prepare as I'm teaching night school (how to ebay) in September/October.

my love to everyone!
