Neuropsych testing in September!

I am proud to report that I have an appointment with a qualified neuropsychologist to do neuropsych testing on me at the end of September. I'm quite interested in seeing what the guy says about my prior testing. It's only going to be one day--WooHoo!

They do an evaluation first, the testing, and then call you back in about 3 weeks for a repeat visit where they discuss the results.

Can't believe that I'm actually psyched (no pun intended) to do this. It was grueling last time and I don't expect it to be better this time. The receptionist told me, "Just get a good night's sleep before you come!" I laughed and told her that wasn't likely to help me get through it. :)

Keep ya posted!

Glad to hear you got the appt! It will be interesting to hear the difference between the two evals!

I joked about mine before I went in, told the old man that they were gonna open my flip top head and peer in at the old brain cells. :D

He, being a lightweight when it comes to brain stuff, didn't appreciate the humor, but I laughed for weeks!:D...until I got the report...

LOL I'd be laughing about that too, but it's understandable how you felt with the report.

My buddy's standing joke is that every time I go for an MRI, he thinks they're going to see on the film a man in a boat floating in pea soup and waving a white flag. He might be right one day. I'm quite sure there's someone else in there given the things that come out of my mouth sometimes.:eek::)

Good luck with your test...I got a prescription last May to get testing done, but the doc they suggested isn't in my insurance co's network. The list of neurologists the ins. co. gave me only do sleep studies, so I haven't been able to schedule the test.
Let us know how it goes!

That kinda bites, DD. Hope you find someone to do your testing!

I'll keep people posted how it goes. I'm actually sort of excited to do it (and shouldn't be!).

Good luck on your test, Gazelle!

Do try and get some good sleep the night before.

(No fair staying up all night cramming!)

Won't help, Twink. The stuff just falls out of the ears if I do try that. I'll just mental floss in the a.m. and hope that helps.

;)
