Miniature painting in pastel . . . oh my!

Somehow I thought it would be fun to do a demo at the fine arts show at The Fair this year, and I said yes to miniatures in pastels! Pastels are not simple to do small, and I must keep the works to less than 35 square inches including the frame!

So last night I got started practicing. I get to bring 5 completed pieces for examples, and do up to five more for demos, all of which I can offer for sale!

I threw a handful of Yakima cherries on a plate and this is what I got: I call it Ate Nine, and it is 4" x 6"

They look so real! My mouth is watering!

How wonderful you can express yourself like that -- and in pastels, no less! Bravo! I hope you will share more often.

I love it, I think you should do very well at the fair. I agree that you should share your work more often!!

I used to love to paint, my hands are not steady enough now...once in awhile I will pick up a brush and give it a go, not often though.

Good luck and hope you sell them all!!!

I have to throw in my opinion, very good. I use to paint but my preference was oils, gotta say, if I did as well as you, I might have preferred pastels. Share more often, please.

That is so beautiful; you are very talented.

Are any of your works for sale where we can have access to them?

I can't (and wouldn't) use this website to try to find buyers for my art, and hesitate to ever appear to be doing that. But I think I can give you a link so you can look at my art. . . .

I have also started a blog, but it is going very slowly right now. http://passionforpigment.blogspot.com/

And thanks . . . I truly believe that "Art saves lives!"
